Travels: Ischgl – Top Of The Mountain Concert X 30 Seconds To Mars
6. May 2015
Last Saturday was nothing about sleeping as my alarm went on at 5:45 a.m. But I couldn’t be more excited to get up that early. The reason for my excitement was the invitation from Sorel to the season closing concert “Top of the Mountains” in Ischgl. The concert is being held every year to start the ski season and also to end the season. And it’s quite well know as some of the biggest stars, like Elton John, Sting, Robbie Williams and many more, had a chance to sing in the snow. Last Saturday over 13000 people were part of this event and had a chance to see “30 Seconds To Mars”.
Even if I’m not the biggest fan of the band I was quite excited to see them play live. Which was an amazing experience. But first we had a chance for a Q&A in the press conference and could get the latest update on the newest projects of the band. Further highlight for me as a movie junkie was to experience the Academy Award winner Jared Leto live. And if you had a closer look at the band leader you could see his green hair, which is part of his latest figure “Joker” from the newest Batman movie “Suicide Squad”.
Visiting Ischgl was a premiere for me but for sure not the last time. Even if I either don’t ski and snowboard I love to hike in summer months. And this is what I will be doing quite a bit this summer again and hopefully coming back to Ischgl.
The weather was pretty good last Saturday and even if the sun came out few times I was pretty happy with my choice of footwear. As I was able to choose a pair of boots from Sorel and went for the Scotia ones, which kept my feet warm and dry.
