This weekend we headed to Austria again. This time to visit the beautiful Zillertal and enjoy the weekend at DasPosthotel. And it’s our last weekend getaway before our little baby arrives. Even if the weather wasn’t as perfect as it could be, it was just right go for walks with Teddy and just enjoy the amazing hotel. Which as soon as you enter it makes you feel like you are in fairy tale world. The interior is modern with alpine elements which makes everything very cozy and comfy. And you feel at home as soon as you enter the hotel.
Feeling great continues as soon as you enter the room. We had one of the Summit Suites, which all have different cute names mostly after mountains in Austria. Just like the exterior of the hotel the rooms have a lot of wood in the interior but without being too heavy or unmodern. And still you can find here and there some traditional pieces, just like the lamp at our living room. Apart from one of the most comfiest beds I had at a hotel so far the balcony was one of my favorite spots in room. Just great to sit around and enjoy a cup of coffee and the pool view. Speaking of the pool, you really need to try their Boutique Spa. At the backside of the hotel the dreamy pool is located, too bad that the weather only cleared up on Sunday so we only had one day to enjoy the pool side. But even if the weather was not the best, the spa area with different saunas and the different treatment is just perfect for a relaxing stay. And you definitely need to book a treatment and enjoy not only the perfect treatment but also the view over the Zillertal from the upper floor of the hotel. And after so much relaxing pool time you definitely need good food. Which is my next stop at DasPosthotel and its restaurant HeLeni. Here you will not only enjoy mostly regional products but also some amazing food. Actually one of the best I had in a trip so far and the location of the restaurant is just so dreamy. But the food is one of a kind, the homemade bread and specially roasted coffee is just what you need to start the day. Definitely a must try and the dinner is just amazing. My most loved corse was the last sweet surprise from the kitchen with homemade chocolates.
And if you want to be active, Zillertal is a paradise for all hiker and skiers. For us we simply enjoyed the valley and had a long walk there as I just can’t go up any hill anymore 🙂
And like always time flew way too fast and we sadly had to leave again. But for sure it was not our last time visiting Zillertal!
*Huge thanks to DasPosthotel for the invitation!
