Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Sitting on my couch and not moving anywhere while drinking coffee, tea or hot chocolate that is what I would be rather doing on these grey days. Usually I love to enjoy my drink pure without even adding sugar or milk but from time to time I get bored and try something new. And while Pumkin Spice lattes have been all over the place lately I thought why not to give the pumpkin spice syrup  a try. The web is full of different recipes and I put a few together for this easy one, which doesn’t need more than 30 minutes. And this is how it’s done…PumpkinSpice


1 cup of water Wasser
2/3 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of pumkin puree
1 tbs pumpkin pie spice
½ ts vanilla extract

How-to pumpkin pie spice:
Simply mix following ingredients together: 3 tbs Cinnamon, 2tbs grounded ginger, 2tbs nutmeg, 11/2 ts allspice, 11/2 ts cloves.

How-to syrup:
Bring all the ingredients in a small pot to boil and reduce the heat a bit. Boil for few minutes until thickened and fill into a jar. The syrup can be kept up to a week refrigerated and can be enjoyed with coffee or hot chocolate.
