Just two more days of 2015 are left. Tomorrow night everybody will be celebrating the end of the old and beginning of the new year. And what is better than doing that with a drink in your hand. One drink that would work perfectly for that occasion is today’s gin cocktail. I wanted something different than the usual Gin Tonic and this one is slightly fruity with the spice of gin. By the way I used here one of my favorite ones The Duke, which is being distilled in the heart of Munich (how cool is that?!) and is actually the one who started the whole Gin hype. So here is the recipe.
Ingredients for one drink:
2 cl Gin
1 cl Cointreau (I went with Grand Marnier as I had no Cointreau at home)
10 cl Champagne
Place all the ingredients in a big wine glas and stir carefully. Add some mint on top for decoration and you are ready to enjoy. If you don’t like mint, try a skin of orange as Cointreau or Grand Marnier are both liqueurs with an orange base. This way you can bring out the fruity side of the drink even more.
