I’ve been using make up for over 15 years now, sometimes more sometimes less of it. Mostly never without foundation as there is no other product that can change the way how your skin look in no time. But I also learned that less can be more over the last few years. And even relearned how the apply my make up, thanks to Lisa Eldridge and her Youtube channel. If you don’t know her you have to watch one of the videos. I love her philosophy of applying foundation, which is, get the coverage just where you need it. For me it’s mostly nose, my cheecks as they tend to be a bit red and either a little bit on my forehead or chin. I apply my foundation mostly with my fingers or use my most favorite Tom Ford brush to work it in to the skin. Then a bit of bronzer, rouge and some mascara and I’m ready. Over the years I tried several foundations so I decided to share my favorite ones today…
If you try any of those you would come to the same conclusion that those foundation are pretty light in coverage but I like it this way.
Tom Ford – Traceless Perfecting Foundation in 01 Cream:
This one would be the lightest in terms of color from my collection. Applied with fingers or brush it sinks into the skin and is truly traceless.
DIORSKIN Nude Air in 20:
Nude Air melts into the skin and stays there for a while. I love the really watery consistency of this product as it makes it so easy to apply.
Estée Lauder – Double Wear All-Day Glow BB in Intensity 2.0:
Typical Olga thought on the Intensity 2.0, well I thought that is the coverage but found out it’s the color of the BB Cream which is on constant repeat right now. Makes the skin glowy and perfects the tone.
Bobbi Brown – Skin Foundation in 2 Sand:
An very light and not to high in coverage kind of foundation, which is very moisturizing. If you need an extra bit of coverage just add another layer.
Bobbi Brown – CC Cream in Warm Nude:
Compared to the BB Cream of Estée Lauder this CC Cream has a more gel like consistency with tons of hydration properties it’s a perfect companion for warm days. I’m using it sometime mixed with the CC Cream.
Clinique – Beyond Pefecting in 07 Cream:
Beyond Perfecting would be the foundation with the highest coverage here. And you also don’t need tons of product three little dots are all you need for the whole face. Big plus it can be also used as concealer.
DIORSKIN – Star Foundation in 20:
If I need a bit more coverage than the Nude Air, I grab this one. Sinks into to the skin and has an amazing staying power due to a great formula.
Even if I just shared my current favorites in terms of foundation I’m on a constant search for new great products. And have already some products on my wish list, like the Mineral Foundation by Tromborg. Have you tried this one? Any favorites on you side that I shouldn’t miss? I would love to get some tips from your side!
